Errors Repository (Magic xpi 3.x)

The Errors Repository contains a list of errors that you can use to determine flow error policy. Most of the errors are connected to specific components. You can display error messages by component with the drop-down list at the top of the list. For example, you can select Email from the drop-down list to show only the error types for the Email component. You can also select the User Error option, which lets you define general applicative errors to be used in the Abort Flow Service.

You use the error list to add error codes to the Error ranges, which are then used to set error policy in the Flow Errors Repository. To select an error code:

  1. Click on the row with the error you want to add to the To or From column in the Flow Errors for Flow list.

  2. Click OK to add it to the list.

Click Cancel to close the Errors Repository without adding an error to the list.

Note:

  • When you access the Errors Repository from the Project menu, the Errors Repository dialog box looks slightly different. Here, you can add specific error messages to newly created components. To do this, select the new component's name from the drop-down list above. Click New to add error messages. You can also click Delete to remove error messages.
The Error Components dialog box governs which components appear in the drop-down list at the top of the Errors Repository. It is accessed by clicking Components in the Errors Repository dialog box.
The New, Delete, and Components buttons appear only when you open the Errors Repository from the Project menu.

  • Components and services can use the same error codes.
