Using Find Reference (Magic xpi 4.6)

To carry out a Find Reference search:

  • Right-click on the object you want to search and do one of the following:

    • Select Find Reference from the context menu.

    • Press Ctrl+F.

    • From the Edit menu, select Find, followed by Find Reference.

The Find Reference mechanism will then be executed, and the search results will be displayed in the Find Reference Results pane.

Note:

  • You can stop the Find Reference utility by using the Stop Search context menu option or by pressing Alt+F3. The results displayed will reflect the process up to this point.

  • If you run find a Find Reference search on any field of a UDS model entry, only major entries (such as U.UDS1) will be included in the search.

  • Inactive flows are included in the search. These will appear in red in the Find Reference Results pane.

  • Find Reference is not available on newly-created objects.

  • Find Reference is not available on fields in Edit mode.

  • The Find Reference option is not available for resources and services. To find where a resource or service is used, use the Find Text option on the current project.
