Description

Using the Find Reference Results Pane (Magic xpi 4.6)

The Find Reference Results pane displays the search results in a flat non-hierarchical display. The results include the following information:

  • The type of object.

  • The name of the object.

  • The business process where the object is located (if applicable).

  • The flow where the object is located (if applicable).

  • The step or the trigger where the object is located (if applicable).

  • The description of the object (if applicable).

If more than one instance appears in your search results, a number will be displayed adjacent to the Name entry to specify the number of appearances of the instance. For example, if the Message field in a Save Message step contains an expression that itself contains more than one instance of a specific variable, then only one row will be displayed for that step in the Find Reference Results pane. However, next to the Name entry, there will be a number that indicates the number of times that this variable is used.

You can access the object directly from the Find Reference Results pane by double-clicking on the required entry or right-clicking and selecting Move To.
